Narrative Therapy: Creative Writing

  • The State College Healing Room 1951 Pine Hall Road State College, PA, 16801 United States (map)

We all carry stories—some we’ve been told, some we’ve told ourselves. And over time, those stories can shape how we see ourselves, what we believe we’re capable of, and how we relate to others.

This 6-week therapeutic writing group is a space to explore those stories with curiosity, compassion, and creativity. Using narrative therapy and guided writing prompts, you’ll begin to notice which parts of your story feel true, which ones you’ve outgrown, and which ones you’re ready to rewrite.

Each week includes a grounding check-in, a themed prompt, quiet writing time, and space to share (if you’d like to). You don’t need to be a writer to join—just someone who’s ready to show up, reflect, and express.

Whether you’re working through a life transition, healing from something hard, or simply wanting to get to know yourself better, this group offers a supportive and nonjudgmental space to begin writing the next chapter—on your own terms.
