Trauma-Informed Care for Mind, Body & Nervous System
”Gentle Practices for Nervous System Healing”
Join us at The Healing Room for a month long Holistic Wellness Series designed to support emotional regulation, resilience, and whole-person healing. This series is grounded in trauma-informed mental health principles and integrates gentle, evidence-based practices that help calm the nervous system, build inner resources, and support sustainable well-being.
🌿 Series Offerings
🌬 Breathwork – Regulating the Nervous System (2/4)
Breathwork supports mental health by activating the body’s parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) response, helping reduce anxiety, stress, and depressive symptoms. Through intentional breathing, participants learn accessible tools for emotional regulation, focus, and grounding.
☀️ Morning Rituals – Creating Stability & Balance (2/11)
Intentional morning routines support mental wellness by reducing stress, improving mood regulation, and fostering a sense of safety and control. This session explores simple, sustainable rituals—such as mindfulness, gentle movement, and hydration—to support energy, focus, and emotional steadiness.
🌀 Movement – Supporting Brain & Emotional Health (2/18)
Movement enhances mental health by releasing endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine—chemicals essential for mood regulation and resilience. Gentle, accessible movement practices help reduce stress, improve sleep, sharpen focus, and build confidence while honoring individual needs and boundaries.
✨ Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) Self-Help & Energy Work (2/25)
JSJ is a gentle, hands-on self-help practice that supports emotional balance and deep relaxation. By harmonizing the body’s energy pathways, participants may experience reduced anxiety, improved sleep, increased clarity, and greater emotional resilience—making it an accessible tool for everyday self-care.

Somatic Yin Yoga - Winter 2026
Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm
January 13-March 3, 2026
Whether you’re holding it all together on the outside but exhausted on the inside, or simply need to befriend your body and come back home to yourself, this practice is for you.
Somatic Yin Yoga weaves longer-held, gentle yin postures with somatic movements to release tension in the body and mind, and nourish you on every level.
So often our bodies are stuck in fight, flight or freeze without us even realizing it — sticky shoulders, shallow breath, tight hips, clenched jaws, that constant hum of anxious energy and buzzing thoughts... this practice meets you there.
✨Grounded yin yoga shapes work with your muscles and fascia to soften long-held tensions. (Supported by tons of props, time and tenderness!)
✨Embodied mindfulness practices release the grip of busy “thinking brain” and guide awareness down and into the body to rest in a powerful space of quiet awareness.
✨Somatic movements retrain the nervous system to release habitual patterns, contractions and stuck energy.
Come as you are and connect, explore, release, and cultivate inner stillness. Somatic Yin Yoga is yoga from the inside out.
