Make time for what matters. Rediscover the joy of being together.
Friday, Oct 16th 6-7:30pm
As children grow into adolescence and young adulthood, life naturally becomes busier. School, work, sports, activities, friendships, and increasing independence often leave less room for intentional time together. While families may still share the same home, opportunities to simply enjoy one another's company can become surprisingly rare.
Parent & Child Connections is a 90-minute guided experience designed to help parents and their children intentionally slow down, engage together, and strengthen the relationship they already share.
Through thoughtfully facilitated experiences that may include rhythm, movement, collaborative activities, conversation, creative expression, and moments of reflection, participants are invited to connect in ways that everyday life doesn't always make possible.
Rather than teaching parenting techniques or focusing on problems, this experience creates space for meaningful interaction, shared enjoyment, and authentic connection.
Facilitated by Josh Crownover, LPC, CCTP-II, the experience draws upon principles of attachment, emotional wellness, child and adolescent development, and healthy relationships while maintaining one simple purpose:
Creating opportunities for parents and their children to share meaningful moments together.
Whether your child is entering adolescence or adulthood, Parent & Child Connections offers an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and simply enjoy being together.
No special skills or experience are needed—just come as you are, ready to participate together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this experience designed for?
Parent & Child Connections is designed for parents (or primary caregivers) and their children ages 12 and older.
While this experience is intentionally designed for parents and children ages 12 and older, maturity and readiness are often more important than age alone. If you feel your younger child would benefit and be able to meaningfully participate, we encourage you to reach out before registering. We'd be happy to help determine whether the experience would be a good fit.
What kinds of experiences will we have?
Each session includes a variety of guided experiences that may incorporate rhythm, movement, collaboration, creativity, conversation, and quiet moments of reflection. Every activity is intentionally chosen to encourage meaningful interaction, shared experiences, and authentic connection rather than competition or performance.
Do we need any special skills or experience?
Not at all. No musical, artistic, or athletic ability is required. The focus is on participating together—not doing anything perfectly.
What should we wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and participate in a variety of activities.
Can I bring more than one child?
Absolutely. Registration includes one parent (or primary caregiver) and one child.
