


Introduction to Mindfulness
FREE** A minimum of 6 students for each session. Classes are to be offered consecutively over a 3 week period Thursdays at 5:30pm.
First Session: Thursday, Oct 9th, 16th , Oct 23rd
Second Session: Thursday, Nov 6th,13th, 20th

What is Introduction to Mindfulness?
Introduction to Mindfulness is a 3-week, evidence -based course with (1) hour sessions designed to give students a taste of mindfulness practices to help enhance their well-being. It will also help to improve their awareness of self to help navigate through stressful and challenging situations.
What Can I Learn?
How to improve focus and awareness of feelings, sensations and emotions that arise on a regular basis
Help respond from a place of calmness, clarity and intention
Improved sense of well-being, steadiness and self-compassion
Key Concepts:
Session I- Paying attention, on Purpose, With Curiosity and Care
Session II- Perspective: Learning new ways of Being
Session III- Responding Skillfully
What are the Benefits?
Although student experiences and reasons for taking the course may differ, there are some benefits that can be achieved when fully present and engaged:
Raising awareness of emotions, reactions and responses
Creating a space to pause when a triggering situation arises
Cultivating a sense of well-being even when faced with life’s ups and downs
Improving our ability to respond skillfully and with intention
Who is the class for? Anyone who wants to learn new ways of being that will enhance their sense of self, those who wish to improve upon a current practice, and those who are new to the practice.

Michelle has completed Training to Teach “Introducing Mindfulness” course at Mindfulness Health Institute (MHI),MBSR,MBCT, Mindfulness for Anxiety and Depression, Vedic Meditation Trained in 2018 in NYC, 200HR Yoga Alliance Instructor trained completed in 2015 in Pismo Beach, California, Baptiste Power Yoga training completed in Sedona, Arizona, and various Somatic Therapy Trainings. She is also certified in Reiki, levels I and II.
Michelle has been a yoga practitioner for over 15 years. She has been practicing meditation and mindfulness since 2015. She is very passionate about helping others find a way to benefit from a daily meditation and mindfulness practice. She has volunteered with PSU for Meditation Mondays, a one -hour session offered to help students learn healthy stress reduction tools and to learn gentle and restorative yoga practices.
